Content: • Statutory Requirements & Codes of Practice • International Standards (British, European, US & Local) • International Best Practice & Industry Standards (NASC) • Overview of Fall prevention in Scaffolding • Advanced Component Information • Review of Basic Structures • Scaffold Design Overview & Interpreting Drawings • Advanced Scaffold Structures (including): Suspended Scaffolds • Cantilevered Scaffolds • Splayed / Radial Scaffolds • Shores (Dead, Raking, Flying) • Ramps & Gangways • Staircases (Tube and Fitting) • Scaffold Inspection in practice • Scaffold Inspection Reports • Scaffold Tagging Systems • Practical Scaffold Inspection Exercises • Knowledge Test and Assessment
Typical background/requirements: Hold a CISRS Basic Scaffold Inspection card for a minimum period (usually 2 years) or hold a relevant CISRS card such as advanced or scaffolder with sufficient experience. Have relevant scaffolding industry experience — the course isn’t for beginners
